Montezuma's well

Notice the ruins on the upper left of the picture.

Montezuma's well is an oasis in the middle of the desert. It is a depression in the desert floor. Water bubbles up from the depths of the earth. The water flows from here and was channeled to Montezuma's castel.

I am obsessed with these now... but I don't want to bore you with my obsession, so go to the zenfolio gallary and you can see more of these. I'm still processing some of these so more to come on the zenfolio site.

hummingbird on branch

Sad to think they are all headed (or have headed) South and we won't see them again for a few months.

Spring has sprung, fall has fell, winter is almost here and it is going to be cold as heck.

One of my favorite barn pictures from earlier this year.

Native American ruins, Arizona

Native American pictogprahics. A lot going on in these prehistoric paintings. It looks to me like maybe one person is shooting another. What does it look like to you?

Pictography is ancient Indian art where pigment is "painted" onto a wall. A petrographic is where the designed is etched into the rock by use of another rock.

Finding these on canyon walls is a wonderful treasure hunt. Trying to figure out what the figures and designs represent is a mystery to solve. What do you see in these pictures?
