hawk in flight

This picture was taken by Pam. I assisted greatly by saying, "this is never going to work... let's go" and other words of encouragement. She obviously hung in there and got a great picture!

frost on the flower

Some pictures I just love and I can't really tell you a lot as to why. I like the colors of the pedals... yellow and red, the frost on the black center. Some color in the background. The feeling that "this is it"... winter is around the corner.

We are seeing the last of our flowers.

You're invited!!!

"The Old Bag Factory" is a tourist destination in Goshen, IN. They are celebrating their 25th anniversary as such. This week end ends their week long festivities. Come and join the fun!

The art gallery "Sycamore Fine Arts" occupies most of the second floor of the building. I and other artists will be there with special displays of our work.

Hope to see you this Saturday 9 to 5.

Amish buggy in the Sunday morning fog.

We woke up last Sunday morning and there was fog. It was pretty dense. You could hear the buggies, clip-cloping their way to church. This picture is taken from our woods looking onto the road. Note the sun on the neighbor's house.

Fall tree in shallow water

This is a picture of trees in shallow water. You can see some leaves floating on the surface and - if you look closely - a lot of leaves laying on the bottom of the pond.

Bench in the Bog

This picture was taken earlier this year in Michigan. This year started out relatively mosquito free. Later in the year they became very hungry and made up for lost meals. This bench was not to rest upon it was a mosquito feeding ground.

This bench was on a path through a bog to a lookout over a bay of a lake. The trees did not have a lot of foliage because, I guess, of all the water in the soil.

Old barn

There are lots of old barns in this part of the world. It is hard to take the time to get a picture of them because there are just so many. Then once in a while you see one that has fallen down or been torn down and you wished you had taken the time to get its picture... but too late.

I like old barns.

Queen Ann's Lace

Hard to find nice Queen Ann's Lace this time of year. I guess becuase it gets dry in the fall and there is not enough moisture in the ground for them. This was taken by a stream Nov 1st (yesterday).
